Additional STA-5 Information
Collier County Audubon Society is also going to be at STA-5 on November 24, 2007. I will be leading both the Caloosa Bird Club and Collier County Audubon that day. Thus, if you live nearer to Naples, or just want to bird the “back roads” from Naples to STA-5, you are welcome to join our caravan.
Directions: Meet at the Sam's Club parking lot (NE corner by gasoline pumps) at the intersection of Immokalee Road (C.R. 846) and Airport Road at 6:00 A.M. or at the Seminole Casino in Immokalee (on Immokalee Rd.) at 7:00 A.M.
From Ft. Myers, the travel time to STA-5 is about 2.5 – 3.0 hours with very little stopping along the way to bird. From Naples to STA-5, the travel time is approximately 2.5 hours with birding along the way.
